Flotilla 28

Welcome! Flotilla 28 is based out of Macon, Georgia but we have members spread out among the 2nd Division from Athens, GA to Cordele, GA. We are committed to boater's safety and accomplish this through multiple missions. These missions include public education, safety patrols, vessel safety checks (boat checks or VSC's), and marine safety and environmental protection. We are often working directly with law enforcement officials and boating organizations to improve the boater's understanding of boating dangers.

In addition to boating safety, the Coast Guard Auxiliary is an active member of Team Coast Guard helping everyday in the defense of this great nation against terrorism. Without sharing the details of our activity and responsibilities, it can be said that the Auxiliary is a "force multiplier" enabling the active duty Coast Guard to remain on the water while Auxiliarists serve in capacities fitting our capabilities.

We welcome new members, and joining the Coast Guard Auxiliary is a great way to contribute to the defense and safety of the United States of America.
